These past couple of days with all the snow and ice, I have been dreaming of taking a nice get away to beach. Since that is not possible right now, I am going to continue to dream! This is a picture we took of Aiden from our trip to Florida last August. I was browsing through some of my pictures and forgot what a good one this was and wanted to share. This has been a pretty good week, we had an unexpected snow day on Wednesday. Aiden's daycare was closed for the day which has never happened in the three years he has attended. I was surprised but more than likely would have kept him at home with me anyway that day. It's not easy keeping an energetic 5 year old occupied all day indoors!
Amy and I went to get pedicures which was super relaxing! I am going to make it a priority to go get them more now that painting my toenails in nearly impossible! Then, we went to the Oliva Garden for dinner. It was so good, especially the bread sticks with Alfredo sauce!
This weekend we are babysitting little Seth so his Mommy and Daddy can go on a date night on Saturday evening. We are also heading to Babies R Us and Lowes tomorrow to start shopping for the nursery. I am very excited about that. I went to the library last night and got some books to get ideas for how we will paint the room. Hopefully I will have time this evening to look through those and come up with some ideas. My goal is to have everything ready in the nursery by March 1st just in case she decides to come a little early and so I can relax that last month instead of stressing over getting things done.
Sunday is the Superbowl. We are going to our neighbors house for a party. They have two girls and are kindly giving me some of their little ones clothes which I am so excited about. I am taking symphony brownies (Paula Deen recipe!) and some sweet meatballs in my crock pot, they are so easy to make...in case any wants to try them out, just put frozen premade meatballs, a jar of grape jelly and a jar of chili sauce in the crock put and let'em cook...they are so good!
I am looking forward to next weekend, next Saturday is my 3D/4D ultrasound appt! I hope little Ava co operates so I am see her tiny little face. I cannot believe we will be meeting her in 11 weeks! I am getting more excited every day!!!!!
I've been feeling a lot better this week. I haven't noticed the pressure as much but, I am not sure if that is because it's better or I have peace of mind that everything is okay from Monday's appointment. I just pray everything continues to go well and this little one stays where she belongs until it's the right time!
Maybe we will be able to take her to the beach this summer so she can wear her yellow polka dot bikini that Aunt Karen got her and her little pink sun glasses! Now that would be a great picture! EEEEK! A girl can dream! :-)
