Full Term

As of Saturday I am officially full term! We had our 37 week OB appt today. I am 50% effaced but not dilated at all yet. Apparently last week I was 25% so I am progressing which is good! Everything else was good, nurse said my blood pressure was a little higher than normal but nothing alarming. We discussed induction today as well. My OB is open to scheduling something on the 16th or 17th if I don't go into labor prior on my own. He also said lets wait until my next appt to see how things are progressing before we officially set the date. I am happy he is open to that since I don't want to go past my due date.

The nursery is officially finished and I took pictures just haven't downloades those yet. As soon as I do I will post them. I am very happy with how it turned out. We also went yesterday to have some pictures taken of Aiden, belly shots and family shots prior to the babies arrival. The photographer is one of the other Mom's at the daycare where I take Aiden, she does photography on the side and did a fantastic job!!! I will also try posting some of those pictures, I have to go through them all to place my order tonight. I can't wait untils he can do some newborn shots of Ava and some shots of Aiden with Ava. I am getting so excited!!!

On a sad note, our Grandma Argie (Chris's grandma) is not doing so well. We are using her name as Ava's middle name. She has been in nursing home for several months now and the past few months she has been to the hospital a few times for treatment on infections she keeps getting on her legs. She also seems to have dymensia setting in now and is often very confused at times. She has always been very sharp. Please keep her in your prayers. I look forward to the day we can take her great grandaughter to meet her.

36 Week Appointment

We just had our 36 week appointment. Everything looks great! Babie's heartrate was148, I never get tired of hearing that sound! My blod pressure and weight are all good. I had my first cervical check and no dilation yet although the cervix is nice and soft and doing what it needs to do at this point! I also had my group strep B test and it's wasn't bad at all, sounds much worse than it actually is to have done. (I didn't really remember it from my previous pregnancy)

I "think" all in all we are ready to welcome her at any time after this weekend! We are having our basement finished and all the contractors should be done with their work by this weekend. I also am making an appointment to have some pictures of Aiden taken prior to Ava's arrival and getting some belly shot pictures with Aiden and Chris. I would like to have them as keepsakes. After we get those taken I will be open to delivery anytime! I am getting more excited with each day that passes to finally see her and hold her!

One more month!

Well we are down to our final month! It's hard to believe my little baby girl could be here in just a few weeks. Overall, I could not have asked for a better pregnancy. I have my moments... but always remember what it took us to get here and I am overall just feeling extremely blessed.

Sometimes, I feel very ready for her arrival, as I cannot wait to just hold her in my arms. Other times, I feel like I want to keep her in there as long as possible since I know this will proabably be the last time I am pregnant. That thought makes me sad, at the same time, I feel like this will make our family complete.

We have taken our hospital tour and Aiden has had his sibling class (see post below). The nursery is just about done, I will post more pictures of it next week once I get the finishing touches done this weekend. I have been doing a ton of laundry for her, washing all the blankets, and clothes in baby detergent. I love looking at all her clothes! I can't wait to dress her up! The diapers and wipes are ready too! Not sure what else I can do to prepare, if we had to bring her home today I think we would be just about ready. We are also in the process of finishing our basement so, things have been a bit busy at our house! Hopefully most of that project will be done in a week or two and we can do the finishing touches in the coming weeks. I keep saying that I am slowing down but nothing else around me is these days!

Here is a recent belly picture, I just keep growing and growing!

Big Brother!

We took Aiden to Sibling Class two weeks ago at the hospital where his baby sister will be born. They watched a video, read a book all about the new babies arrival and made their sibling a special picture. We also took a tour with the kids so they know where they will be visiting once their little sister or brother's arrive. It was very cute! The best part of the day was during the video viewing they showed a Mother breastfeeding. I knew Aiden was not familar with seeing that so I was very afraid of what he was going to say....he just watched then they showed a sibling helping feed with a bottle, he said " OH YEAH, that is very how I am going to feed my baby with a bottle!" I thought that was so cute. He is going to be a great Big Brother!

We also went to Build a Bear workshop after the class and Aiden made Ava a special bunny and recorded his own personal message to her " I love you baby Ava." He did a great job!

Here is Aiden holding his baby doll they gave to each child to hold during story time, at one point he was poking at her eyes and twisting her head backwards. We had to have a little talk about that. LOL!
Aiden making his special picture for his sister, it is hanging on her bedroom door!

Picking out the heart to put in his special bunny!

Aiden hugging the bunny so he will stay warm!

Aiden bathing and brushing the bunny.

And this might be my favorite of all.... we were being silly and put on the hannah montana wig and glasses for fun! Now we know what Ava will look like when she is 5!
Daddy did not find this funny, I thought it was hysterical!

Disney on Ice

We took Aiden to Disney on Ice last night and had so much fun! I think Chris and I enjoy watching his face as much as we enjoyed watching the show ourselves. We had wonderful seats right on the ice, which made it even more magical for Aiden! He has not stopped talking about it!

Here is Aiden wearing his Incredibles mask!

Here we are before the show.

32/33 Week (ish) Belly
